Hello everyone and welcome to the K-IVMS Community Forum! 👋
I'm excited to open this space for the Kalytera VMS community. My name is elkampu and I'm the developer behind this project.
I wanted to share the current status: Kalytera VMS is under active development and I'm working hard to get the V1.0.0 release out before this summer.
Here's a quick overview of what V1.0.0 will include:
- Multi-protocol camera support — Native integration with Hikvision (ISAPI), Dahua (CGI), Axis (VAPIX), and any ONVIF-compatible camera
- Live view & recording — Real-time streaming and continuous recording with H.264 passthrough to MP4 segments
- Playback with timeline — Browse and play back recordings with a visual timeline
- Automatic protocol detection — Kalytera auto-detects your camera's manufacturer and protocol
- Device configurator — Manage camera settings (time, network, video, imaging) directly from Kalytera
- Windows installer — A proper MSI installer to get up and running quickly
- Storage management — Configurable recording paths, retention policies, and Synology NAS support
- Role-based access control — User management with configurable permissions
- Maps — Place cameras on interactive floor plans for visual site management
Development is progressing well and I'll keep posting updates here as we get closer to release. If you have questions, feature requests, or just want to say hello — this is the place!
Stay tuned. 🚀
